Imagine spending four nights in the beautiful Sussex countryside, surrounded by fellow hobbyists, enjoying fantastic food, comfortable accommodation, relaxed evenings and, of course, plenty of Warhammer.
Welcome to the D6 Games Luxury Warhammer Retreat.
We’re taking everything we love about our events and creating something a little different. A four-night experience where competitive gaming meets a countryside getaway, giving players the opportunity to enjoy their hobby without the usual pressures of a traditional tournament weekend.
Your Home for the Weekend
Set within 12 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside, Fair Oak Farm offers a unique collection of accommodation and communal spaces, combining the character of a historic country estate with modern comforts.
From the charming Grade II listed farmhouse and beautifully converted barns to private cottages, shepherd’s huts and elevated eco-lodge treehouses, there’s a range of accommodation to suit different preferences.
Throughout your stay, you’ll have access to the estate’s available communal facilities, including cosy lounges, a cinema barn, games barn, outdoor seating areas and fire pits.
Whether you’re relaxing after a game, enjoying a drink with friends or taking a quiet walk through the countryside, there’s plenty of space to unwind.
Accommodation is available across a selection of private and shared rooms, with different options to suit solo travellers, friends and couples. Prices will vary according to the accommodation selected, with full room details and availability provided during booking.
The Warhammer Experience
At the heart of the retreat are two Warhammer 40,000 tournaments:
Singles Grand Tournament – Five Rounds
A full five-round competitive event spread across the retreat, giving everyone the opportunity to enjoy challenging games without the frantic pace of a conventional tournament weekend.
Doubles Tournament – Three Rounds
A chance to team up with a friend, try something different and enjoy another side of competitive Warhammer.
All 24 players will participate in both tournaments, with the Doubles event bringing everyone together in 12 teams of two.
Our aim is simple: great games, good company and enough time to actually enjoy the experience.
We’ve deliberately planned generous gaming windows, proper breaks and relaxed evenings. No racing through lunch, no rushing between rounds and no need to drive home exhausted after the final game.
Food, Drink & Good Company
One of the things we want to make special about this retreat is the food.
Rather than the usual tournament lunch, we’re planning four days of themed dining, taking inspiration from different parts of the world. Each day will bring something different to the table, with freshly prepared meals, regional flavours and plenty of opportunities to sit down and enjoy good food together.
Thursday – A Taste of India
We’ll begin our retreat with the rich, aromatic flavours of Indian cuisine. Expect warming spices, fragrant dishes and a wonderful mix of flavours to welcome everyone to their home for the next four nights.
Friday – The American Experience
Friday takes inspiration from the comfort food and barbecue traditions of America. Think hearty portions, smoky flavours, slow-cooked favourites and the sort of satisfying food that brings everyone together around the table.
Saturday – Continental Europe
On Saturday, we’ll explore the culinary traditions of continental Europe, drawing inspiration from the rustic cooking of France, Spain and beyond. Expect comforting dishes, Mediterranean influences, fresh ingredients and a relaxed European dining atmosphere.
Sunday – The Great British Finale
We’ll finish our retreat by celebrating the best of traditional British food. From comforting classics to a proper Sunday roast, our final day will be about familiar favourites, good company and a fitting celebration of our time together.
The evening will also provide an opportunity to relax over cheese and wine as we bring the retreat to a close.
Dietary Requirements
We understand that guests may have allergies, intolerances or specific dietary requirements, and we’ll work to accommodate these wherever reasonably possible.
The final menus will be confirmed closer to the event, allowing us to make suitable adjustments while maintaining the theme and character of each day’s dining experience.
Guests will be asked to provide their dietary requirements in advance so that we can plan accordingly.
More Than Just a Tournament
This isn’t intended to be four days of non-stop gaming.
Between rounds, you’re free to enjoy the estate, catch up with friends, relax in the communal spaces or simply take some time away from the tabletop.
In the evenings, we’ll bring everyone together for food, drinks, conversation and the sort of social atmosphere that makes the tabletop gaming community so special.
Whether you’re chasing a tournament victory or simply looking forward to a few days away enjoying your favourite hobby, we want everyone to leave feeling they’ve had a proper break.
What’s Included?
Your retreat package includes:
Four nights’ accommodation at Fair Oak Farm, Thursday to Monday.
Entry into the five-round Warhammer 40,000 Singles Grand Tournament.
Entry into the three-round Warhammer 40,000 Doubles Tournament.
All scheduled breakfasts, lunches and evening meals from Thursday’s arrival lunch through to Sunday’s dinner.
Tea, coffee and selected refreshments throughout the retreat.
Four days of themed dining experiences, including our planned cheese and wine evening.

With just 24 player places planned, this will be a much more personal experience than our regular events.
Accommodation will be offered across a range of room types, with prices reflecting the different facilities and levels of privacy.
Whether you’re travelling alone, coming with a friend or sharing accommodation with a partner, we’ll aim to offer suitable booking options wherever the room arrangements allow.
With a limited number of places and different accommodation options available, we recommend booking early to secure your preferred room arrangement once reservations open.
