D6 Events

The origins of the D6 template

Our events were born from an idea during a car journey up to Warhammer fest in 2023. Where me and My friend discussed all the things we loved about big game days or an event, such as the social side of the game & seeing the cool army’s everyone has painted up.

We also talked about how we would improve things we found frustrating as well! Things like how uncomfortable events can be and how factors like food was always a second thought to both organiser and player leading to fatigue and arguments!

With these factors in mind i set out to create events that is not only a fun and fair experience both narratively and competitively minded players. But also a event that looks after you as a player with plenty of opportunity to sit down, a large amount of space to work with around your table and lastly but not least important REAL FRESH HOME COOKED FOOD and drinks provided all day! All wrapped up in a 1 day experience so you don’t have to give up your whole weekend!

This isn’t just any event these are curated premium experiences!

The D6 Initiative program (our social program)

This Membership was formed not long after D6 Games Founding firstly to raise funds to buy our signature terrain you see at our events.

But after many many conversations with players at our events the D6 Initiative program shifted to providing players with opportunity’s to combat their mental health issues through either Build, paint or play. More details about this is on the D6 membership page.

The Competitive Series

D6 Games in 2026

Like all things with time, D6 Games has grown and matured. We have made many friends in this hobby space since our humble beginnings and we are often told we have become many players favourite event series to take part in! This make me incredibly proud but also has pushed me to deliver even more this year and the next!.

D6 Games will be looking to move into a more high end professional set up pushing the boundaries of the player expirance!. Alongside that expand its offerings to more locations and event types for all players.

D6 Games will continue to improve its membership offerings in 2026 and 2027 to help build a strong community and help fight the battle of mental health issues through building, painting and play events in line with our mission statement.

Our 1 day 3 round RTT are designed as an entry level competition.

With a strict adherence to the games workshop competition pack and the core book, This event allows new players to enter the competition scene and seamlessly take to the tables without having to learn any additional house rulings designed by the UKTC and WTC.

All the while providing a solid practice foundation for veteran players with balanced terrain on all tables (constructed to give no unit type an edge while providing multiple levels of height for units to use tactically). Strict round times to keep the day moving and a good rotation of missions on each event.

Our new 2 day GTs provide the same great experience but now over 5 rounds to really help you develop your skills and mental stamina before taking the leap to the Bigger 100+ field events.

We do RTTs and GTs for Warhammer Age of Sigmar and 40K

The Narrative Series

The Lore of Warhammer is what attracts allot of people to the hobby in the first place and our Narative Events aim to make you feel like you’re part of that world!

Have your army forge its own story in the grand campaigns of the Warhammer Narative with Crusade style events linking across the year allowing you to build mighty captains or units that have fought for so long they have become hardened veterans.

These events will use a mix of games so you could start the day playing a skirmish game and end the day playing a 2000 points match. Each event will contribute to developing the story represented by a beautifully painted 3D mini campaign map and will result in an outcome at the end of the series.

We currently do 1 day events for Warhammer 40K, Kill team and Horus Heresy
