The D6 Initiative!
The D6 initiative has 2 key objectives to it! The first objective is to create a structured effort to raise the standard of the playing experiences for participants at Warhammer events across a multitude of county’s within the UK.
For the Competitive player the D6 Initiative aims to create unique playing experiences at club and county level. Providing a good practice opportunity and helping players jump to the bigger and larger Warhammer events. The D6 competitive series will provide you strong competition but with our uniquely chilled out vibe.
Unlike most sports, the competative tabletop wargaming world seems to exist in 2 skill levels, Club level and National level. Before we delve deeper let me quickly explain these category’s.
Club level- Playing at home or your local friendly store/ gaming club
National level -Playing in large multi day events with players travelling from various regions of the country or other neighbouring country’s to compete.
The D6 initiative plans to build a tier that exists between those 2! A competitive event series that operates as a county level structure will help those wanting to move from there local club into a more national level with a little more confidence and understanding of the skill gap they intend to take on. Along side this development of a healthy county vs county competition series as an added player development program.
For those more narrative driven players the D6 Initiative aims to bring you a story driven event series that is less focused on who won but how they won! The series spanning a year over several events requires no commitment like a standard crusade format but your efforts on the tables will aid your faction and will not go unnoticed.

What is it?
The second and arguably more important objective of the D6 Inititive is to build community spaces both physically and digitally that will help players with any mental health issues they may have.
As a personal trainer by trade i have many years experience with clients talking to me about not only their physical health but the mental struggles. It is scary how at one point or another we will all face challenging times and may need just the simple act of talking to someone to help us feel better.
Many studies have shown that just being part of a community and having a sense of belonging has shown to reduce things like Blood pressure and cholesterol alongside the improvement of ones sense of wellbeing.
How does it work?
The plan is simple i have created a yearly membership for anyone that wants to see the D6 Initiative develop a grow. The money raised from this will go towards various projects and experimental ideas. With the goal of not only provide a better playing experience for everyone but also providing fun community driven opportunity’s to get involved with. Some of these ideas are listed below
The D6 League- See where you rank in the league table of D6 members who compete in our events! Could you be number 1?
The Grand Narrative Saga- Help shape the story’s of the table top worlds in a epic year long campaign across events!
County Clash Event- Face off in a team county matches for bragging rights for the year!
Free Social Events- play, chat, laugh with like minded members in 1 day get together.
Community Painting Competitions- need that motivation to get bits done join the painting competition and maybe win some cool prizes.
We will reach out to local and international business’s to help sponsor some of these events.
