Final Membership Call for 2026
Hi everyone
As we come up to the end of what has been another great year round the sun for D6 Games with our Annual Birthday event this Sunday. I would like to take this moment to thank everyone who has taken part in an event this past 12 months you have made the expirance of running D6 games so rewarding and its making me want to do better in the upcoming 12 months.
Now for those that do not know or have not heard D6 games runs an Annual membership called the D6 Initiative. The D6 Initiative is not designed to replace your local club or store in any way, in fact we work alongside allot of clubs! and this year we proudly show off those clubs in our new 2027 T shirts. The membership is designed more like a community association and has a few goals and ambitions all working towards a larger overarching themes of community and mental wellbeing. Below are the 3 main goals
Example top of one of our members with there Club Badge on the Sleeve
Goal 1- Provide a social space for members in the form of events or challenges either in person or digitally with the aim of helping them get involved with the community.
Goal 2- Develop a clear structured path of progression for hobbyist to help them develop their skills in competitive or creative challenges.
Goal 3- get to the stage where we can donate money to local mental health charity’s to help not only hobbyist but others who are struggling with their mental wellbeing.
Over the past 3 years we have done incredibly well in developing this program not only in growth and structure but also with having company’s like Colbalt Keep and Snot Goblin Games Donating Prizes for our hobby progress challenge, Archies Forge and Dark fantastic Mills helping us with members goodie bags and finally the very patient Odisi Sports helping us design and print our members tops! (i know that process probably has been a pain with my ideas and suggestions).
With the T shirts off to production and other parts being developed in the pipe line the 2026 membership will be closing for new members on the 2nd of September. It will not re- open until the 1st of January 2027.
When we reopen, the price will go from £30 to £36 per year. This increase reflects the rise in hall hire and food costs for our members’ social events since the project started in 2023, as well as the introduction of a new postal service for members’ goodie bags, meaning collection at our Annual Birthday event will no longer be mandatory.
As we move into 2027, my aim is to make sure the D6 Initiative continues to offer members more opportunities and more value, and following the success of our Teams event last weekend, 2027 will also see the introduction of D6 County Teams. D6 Initiative members will be eligible for selection and represent their county, with selected members able to play for their county team as part of the programme. Alongside this, our Narrative and social events will be expanded across all of our areas, giving more members the opportunity to take part closer to home.
If you are already a member of the D6 Initiative program your membership will remain at its current price and will not see a price increase. You will continue to receive all the benefits you currently get and some new extra ones i have been able to develop for the 2027 season.
Anyone joining the D6 Inititive between now and the 2nd of September will also gain legacy pricing status. But because our T shirts are already out on order you will not recive the 2026 T shirt.
