The 2026 Narrative Season!
The D6 Games 2026 Narrative Campaigns
2025 we started a narrative campaign featuring the region of Octarius in the Warhammer 40K universe. While all the days were fun and very popular and we got to try out a variety of crusade style missions. From my perspective there felt like there was a gap between the players and the written style story mode that didn’t quite seem to ever meet.
This year i have crafted my own system in the 40K universe and with the help of a friend and local business Archies Forge we will be using a 3d printed interactive map for players to use and influence the fate of our year long campaign.
The original plan was to represent all 3 stages of planetary warfare by mixing Kill team (as a Player vs Environment missions) with Boarding actions missions (All vs All 4 player) and standard 40K narrative missions. Now due to life factors, allot of that has now been put to the side for another season. I wont be able to build and paint all the sets to the standard i would like and get this 3D interactive map ready for the players.
So with that said this season will have 4 narrative days in the year, each with 3 missions per day at 2000 points of 40K. You will be able to influence the map by winning your games and moving little markers that represents your faction on the map. (more details about that will come later in still finalising the rules)

This is an example of what the map could look like for the first days games.
This hopefully will give players a sense of agency over the story.
BCP will be used to gather player lists and advertise the event if we need to. It wont be used for pairings.
With that said we have a slowly growing kill team community and i do not want to leave them out so they will be getting there own representation on these days as well. They will play 3 or 4 games of kill team and like the 40K players will be able to influence the map.

The Horus Heresy
This year we are also doing a Horus Heresy Narrative campaign as well. This will follow a very similar format. 3 games 2500 points per game in a day. Wins and losses will influence the 3D printed map (yes a separate one). These will be a 2 team format loyalist vs traitor and we will have winners face winner and losers face losers and draws pair off instead of using some kind of ranked system using BCP. We will use BCP for list holding and event advertising.
